May is National Military Appreciation Month. In honor and support of our military, we have provided a portion of our premium advertising space on our homepage to highlight several important military-oriented support groups during the month of May. While this list is far from exhaustive, it is my goal that our effort will provide additional recognition for these worthy organizations and ultimately our troops.
On a personal note, I believe in the cause of freedom and I support our troops and their mission. I feel the military should be funded as a top priority since they are on the front lines protecting everything that is American. As a matter of national policy, no reasonable request should be denied to those standing in harms way on our behalf.
As a nation we have vicious enemies who must be met with determined force. I applaud our troops and their work in meeting this extremely difficult challenge. I pray for their success and safety and grieve for every fallen hero. While I look forward to the day our troops return home, I believe in finishing the job they started and bringing them home to a hero’s welcome.
With this in mind I ask that you pause, not just in the month of May but daily, to reflect on those who have sacrificed their lives and blood to secure the freedoms and security we enjoy as Americans. Please join me in praying for our troops, the success of their mission, and for an honorable and lasting peace.
